ACSIS Week 2

After a great week for our sporting teams, we were hoping for similar results in week 2 of our participation. However; the results were not in our favour this week.

First, our senior basketball boys (19U) went over to UWC and played their B team. The home team was confident of an easy win as they have previously defeated Waseda Senior High. Although our boys lost the game 43-40 in overtime, they pushed UWC B all the way.

On the very same day, our 19U girls was making their debut game in a triangular with ISS and CIS. We lost to ISS 3-1 but managed to defeat CIS by a score of 3-2. Well done girls as some are new to the game.

The next day saw both the soccer 19U and 16U B teams taking on CHIS and UWC C teams respectively. It was not a god day for us as both the teams lost; 19U lost to CHIS 1-4 while the 16U to UWC C, 2-5.

The week however, ended on a high note as our 16U A soccer boys turned up the heat on the visiting AIS A by defeating them by a score of 7 - 2. The boys is currently two for two. Keep up the good work as the challenge would come when we play OFS Aon the 5th Oct.

Supporters, please watch out for the fixtures on the PE / Activities notice board for the coming weeks.

Have a good long weekend.

ACSIS Sports Season 1

As our sporting teams are busy preparing and playing in our first ever ACSIS league competition, I would like to thank all the players who has put in the time and effort in their respective sports.

It has been a fruitful week for our soccer and basketball teams.

We started the week with both our 19U and 16U basketball boys playing their first game and we had mixed fortune in results; the senior boys lost to Waseda Shibuya Senior High School but our 16U boys defeated PBHS B team.

The soccer boys were next to play. Although the 19U boys lost to Australian International School, they played well and would definitely do better in their next game. Our 16U boys did better by beating OFS B team.

OUr senior Volleyball team played their first game on Thursday and defeated UWC B team convincingly. We ended off the week with our 19U Basketball team defeating Chatsworth International on Friday.

I would like to congratulate all the players for their effort and to continue to play to their potential in every game.

Next week would be a busy week for the soccer and volleyball teams where all our games will be played on our grounds. Supporters, please look out for the notices for the games dates and timings.

Basketball Friendly with German School

Our 19 and Under team played a friendly game with their german counterparts on the 1 June at their wonderful indoor hall. It was the team's second game of the season and the first playing in a indoor surface. They started the game nervously but got better as the game went. Slowly but surely., they started to play like a seasoned team.

Leads exchanged hands a couple of times and it was at the final minute that the German boys scored the winning basket. It was certainly a good experience for the boys as they get prepared for their coming league.
