Activities; so far.

The activities programme in SJII has been going well for the past three months. With the new attendance tracking system in place, we are able to track errand students who missed activity.

The sporting teams have started having friendlies; the Netball team has been involved in an international schools tournament that takes place every Thursdays. The Newly formed Volleyball team has played its first game beating ICS. The Tennis Team (Girls) will be participating in the coming HCI invitation tournament (28th and 29th March). Meanwhile, the U18 soccer team has played in a mini triangular tournament involving HCI and St. Francis School, which we won (1-0 against HCI and 4-0 against SFS). The U15 played against the ICS U17 and drew 0-0, while the U14 will be playing their first game this Thursday (19th March) against San Yu Adventist school.

All the other activity groups have been going on well too with your continual support, the activity programme in SJII with definitely flourish.

Soccer Friendly

The Soccer Team had their first game of the season last week, with the U15 playing against ICS on Thursday (05/03) and the U18 went up against Hwa Chong International and St. Francis School in a mini Triangular Game.

Although the U15 drew the game against ICS, they did very well as they were playing against the U17 team. A few younger boys stood up during the game; Johann, Manuel, Robert John and Miguel who were all grade 7's. The team had good chances and they passed the physical aspects with flying colours.

The U18 team did better, they played HCI first and won with a Paul Salim' s well taken goal. Afterwhich they had chances but did not put them away. In the second game, the second team took on St Francis school. The idea was to let the players experience a competitive environment. They did not disappoint us and came out 4-0 winners, with Rishi scoring a wonderful goal from a corner.

The team will be playing more friendlies in the months coming.
